Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join our team. This role involves hands‑on technical expertise while contributing to the development and maintenance of cloud‑based applications and/or services.
The ideal candidate can bridge the gap between software development and IT operations. The candidate combines strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and containerization.
Source Code Management:Utilize Gitlab to architect, deploy, and maintain software applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Packer, promoting reproducible, version‑controlled infrastructure deployments.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:Build and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline code deployment and reduce release cycles.
Security & Compliance:Collaborate with cybersecurity team to embed best practices into the Dev Ops lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
- Demonstrated experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of application security, cloud security, and secure software delivery practices.
- Ability to implement and manage automated security testing within the software development lifecycle.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including developers, architects, and cybersecurity professionals.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and organizational security policies.
- US Citizenship. Active secret clearance.
- Bachelors and 2+ years or more experience;
Masters and 1+ years; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree. - Demonstrated experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
