Job Description
$2,000 stipend. Externship experience at Animal Care Center of Panama City Beach, Panama City Beach, FL.
Gain day‑to‑day experience at an NVA hospital. Students work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians, gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, conducting diagnostics, providing dentistry services, observing or assisting in surgical procedures, and managing patients medically. Students also practice communication with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externships last 2–8 weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules, and are designed for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students. Students in the clinical portion are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. Stipend amounts: $2,000.

- Create treatment plans and conduct diagnostics.
- Assist or perform dentistry services and surgical procedures.
- Manage patients’ medical care.
- Communicate with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
3rd and 4th year veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for the stipend.
