The Barefoot restaurants are looking for a hands‑on, hospitality‑minded Assistant General Manager who can run a tight shift, coach a strong team, and keep the business humming behind the scenes—without losing the fun, beachy vibe that makes Barefoot.
Compensation$50,000 salary
What you’ll ownThis is a true operations role—equal parts people, process, and performance. You’ll help lead day‑to‑day execution while keeping a close eye on the numbers.
Operations & Leadership- Lead service with confidence—set the pace, solve problems, elevate the guest experience
- Coach, develop, and hold teams accountable (FOH + BOH collaboration)
- Ensure standards are consistently met: service, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing team development
- Build schedules that balance business needs, labor targets, and team success
- Maintain staffing plans for peak season volume and special events
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory controls
- Partner with kitchen/bar leadership to maintain pars, reduce waste, and protect costs
- Ensure proper product rotation, storage, and organization
- Help manage P&L performance, prime costs, and daily financial accountability
- Track sales trends, labor, COGS, and operational KPIs
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability while protecting guest experience
- Have restaurant management experience (high‑volume seasonal experience is a big plus)
- Understand the fundamentals: ordering, inventory, staffing, scheduling, and P&Ls
- Can read numbers, spot issues early, and take action with urgency
- Lead with empathy and standards—people like working for you, and results show it
- Stay calm under pressure and keep the energy positive and professional
