- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public response agencies as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Control access through security-related screening, verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and/or access control platforms, reporting irregularities and escalating issues per procedure.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and post instructions.
- Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations in daily logs and written reports, using clear and accurate details.
- Provide visible presence at entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and/or other designated posts to help deter misconduct and support site operations.
- Support emergency and/or business continuity procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and medical response, while maintaining communication with site leadership.
- Conduct checks of doors, gates, and critical areas, reporting hazards, unsecured points, and/or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
- Interact professionally with staff and guests, providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with de-escalation when needed.
- Participate in briefings, training, and post-specific updates, following Allied Universal and client-site requirements for compliance and performance.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
