Automotive Tire and Lube Technician

Overview

Gagnons Tire and Auto is looking for an experienced automotive lube and tire technician preferably with at least three months initial experience. Must be mechanically inclined, other auto repair experience would be a plus

Whether you come on as a trainee, lube tech or line tech, the ultimate goal is to give you the opportunity to become a ASE master technician with a earning potential of 80-100k! That's our goal! Is it yours as well? We have a master tech and a shop manager that both started out working for us by starting in this position.

Experience in damage free mounting and balancing of modern low profile tires and wheels is a huge plus.

Must have a valid drivers license

This position is an excellent opportunity to learn the automotive repair trade from a group of knowledgeable professions With the opportunity to advance as an Automotive Technician Must have a good attitude, determination and a willingness to learn.

Your lists of tasks includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Oil and filter changes.
• Tire work, including replacing, repair, rotation, and balancing.
• Vehicle inspections, including brake, safety, and trip inspections.
• Minor repair such as replacement of belts, hoses, bulbs, filters, etc.

You will also be trained to do the following tasks as you improve and grow.

• Suspension inspection, parts replacement, and alignment.
• Brake repair, including drum and disk brakes and brake fluid flushes
• Minor electrical checking such as battery and charging system testing.

• Five day work week, Monday through Friday.
• Paid holidays with most 4 day weekends if it falls close to weekend paid.
