Job DescriptionWe recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project. Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects. Applicant must be familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.
EssentialFunctions

- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects.
- Maintains a clean and well-organized job site: properly store consumable materials, picks up debris and waste for proper disposal, maintains equipment appearance, and secures/stores small tools and supplies. Performs materials handling and storage.
- Road widening, highway, road/street or bridge build and rehabilitation projects.
- Helping Foremen and other Supervisors as needed.
- Laborers may be required to assist with traffic control and/or flagging operations.
- Properly secure and store all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each workday.
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis is field based role. The employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical DemandsThe position lifts heavy objects, walks, and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
PositionType / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work. Average +/-50 hours per week.
TravelThe role requires no travel.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
Education and Experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
