Job Description Summary/Objective
We recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project. Qualified applicants will have experience working on heavy civil, roadway or bridge projects and must be familiar with working from heights and/or manlifts. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.
EssentialFunctions
- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects.
- Maintains a clean and well‑organized job site: properly stores consumable materials, picks up debris and waste for proper disposal, maintains equipment appearance, and secures/stores small tools and supplies.
- Performs materials handling and storage.
- Road widening, highway, road/street or bridge build and rehabilitation projects.
- Helps Foremen and other Supervisors as needed.
- Laborers may be required to assist with traffic control and/or flagging operations.
- Properly secures and stores all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each workday.
- Understands and complies with all company safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA regulations.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks and deliveries.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis is a field‑based role. The employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, and the position regularly works near moving mechanical parts in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust and asphalt.
Physical DemandsThe position lifts heavy objects, walks, sits, and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity, multilimbed coordination, and excellent stamina.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position that may occasionally require long hours and weekend work, averaging +/- 50 hours per week.
TravelTravel is not required.
RequiredEducation and Experience
Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug‑free environment, pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license. Construction industry experience is preferred. Candidates should be able to take full ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
