Job Location: Bay County, FL and surrounding counties

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

  • Experience in underground utility installation (water, sewer, and storm drain)
  • Experience in all aspects of site work
  • Experience in constructing parking lots and roadways
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable experience as a foreman/superintendent
  • Must have strong coordination, time management, active listening, communication, critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record for minimum of 3 years
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 5 days per week and Saturday's of required
  • Possess or Acquire Advanced MOT Certification.
  • Possess or Acquire OSHA 30

Description: Provides complete supervision and responsibility for the job site field operations, including daily productions, costs, safety, organization, labor and equipment scheduling and management, subcontractor management, and material procurement. Is responsible for tracking quantities and working alongside Project Manager to remain on schedule and within budget. Will develop a “look ahead” schedule for crews, equipment and material.

Essential Functions: To perform his job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation, and meet other requirements of this position.

  • Being on site to oversee all the construction process ensuring that both the health and safety project plans are implemented maintaining a safe working environment at all times for crew members. Follow all company and job safety requirements. Inspect equipment and construction sites daily to verify all safety specs are met. Conduct safety meetings as required for crew members.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and provide an end product the meets the intent of the plans and specifications.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with crews, project managers general contractors, supervisors and city inspectors
  • Ability to operate all standard heavy equipment, road grader, dozer, off road trucks, skid steer, excavators etc a plus
  • Organizing the workers and ensuring they are performing as required, maintaining they stay on task and on schedule.
  • Must be able to comprehend and identify the difference between contract work and change order work. Turn in all approved documents required to general manager
  • Ability to adhere to job schedules. This includes forecasting, planning crew activities, and proactively requesting materials/equipment accordingly
  • Knowledge of GPS equipment.

Ability to: Supervise and handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment. Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail; ability to create partnerships with suppliers and customers. Have the capacity to be a working supervisor if the work load requires. Ability to schedule, multi-task, and solve problems.

Other Requirements: Willingness to work 50+ hours a week, including out-of-doors under varying climatic conditions. Must possess physical characteristics to perform critical and important duties of the job, including the ability to lift and carry tools and equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Competent Person Certification
  • Excavation, Trenching and Shoring Certification
  • OSHA 30 hour training
  • Maintenance of Traffic training

Work Environment: Willingness to work 50+ hours a week, including out-of-doors under varying climatic conditions. Noise level is high. Employee may experience occasional pressure due to multiple tasks and deadlines.
