Position: Professional Development Trainer/Bootcamp Instructor, ASCENT - Panama City Campus (Multiple Positions) (Part-time, OPS)

Responsibilities

* Providing classroom, online, or hybrid instruction in professional development and bootcamp formats.

* Fulfilling all contractual obligations during the term.

* Delivering training sessions aligned with pre-approved curricula and industry standards.

* Preparing thoroughly for each session and adhering to schedules.

* Leveraging modern teaching technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and web-conferencing tools.

* Engaging learners actively, providing timely responses to questions and offering support or referrals when necessary.

* Collaborating with ASCENT staff to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality learner experiences.

* Assisting in the development and refinement of training content, as needed.

* Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and evaluations, as applicable.

* Completing annual compliance training and adhering to university policies.

* Performing additional duties as assigned by the OPEL Program Manager.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Relevant industry certifications, coupled with two or more years of field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proven expertise in the subject areas being taught (e.g., technology, business, healthcare, etc.).

* Certifications in relevant tools or technologies (e.g., cybersecurity, IT, programming languages, project management, etc.).

* Post-secondary teaching or training experience preferred.

* Evidence of ongoing professional development through education, certifications, or other activities.

* Proficiency with teaching technologies, including LMS platforms, lecture-capture tools, and synchronous online engagement software.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage others.
