ALL APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

The primary function of this position is to instruct college-level and pre-college level mathematics and statistics courses.

Examples of Duties

Teach mathematic courses as assigned

Maintain weekly office hours (30 minutes per class per week)

Stay current with today's technology

Current Learning Management System (Canvas)

Ability to use smart stations

Ability to use live streaming technology

Graphing Utilities

Ability to use Lighthouse/Banner/Canvas

Class rosters, Post grades, Email, My Math Lab

Use Computer Lab Control Software

Incorporate copier, fax and scanner into course management

Other Professional Duties included but not limited to:

Class Preparation, Assessment, Staying current with teaching strategies, Covering Classes, Collaborating with other in the divisions, Professional Development, Division Meetings (optional)

Qualifications

Requires a Master of Science Degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics from an institutional accredited university to teach college math classes.

This position is sensitive and will require a criminal background check. "Notice of E-Verify participation"

Faculty members work in classrooms, offices, and other related venues to accomplish educational activities. Faculty operate personal computer and audio visuals needed in a classroom setting, and maintain ability to communicate with faculty and students via email and other electronic methods for performing the day to day tasks needed for communication. The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business and training may be required.

The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus as well as ability to determine the color of objects.
