This posting will be used to fill position vacancies in Career Service.

This is a highly responsible professional position assisting the Region Program Supervisor in administration of policies and procedures related to the assigned Adult Protective Services Program area(s) to assure statewide program compliance, consistency, and uniformity. The program areas include Adult Protective investigation and Supervision, Adult Protective Intervention (placement, supportive services, and short-term case management), Community Care for Disabled Adults, Home Care for Disabled Adults.

This position requires expertise in training, management, monitoring and administration of Adult Protective Services Programs.

This requires extensive knowledge of Adult Protective Services concepts and programs. Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to Adult Protective Services programs and the current data systems utilized by the department is required.

District-wide and related travel within the region is required.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Region Program Manager.

Within the assigned program area(s):

Coordinate, conduct or arrange all training activities.

Pre-service and in-service training for region staff

Community education and training

Workshop and conference participation

Public speaking

Needs assessments to identify unmet training needs and determine the appropriate resource for training.

Provide technical assistance to operations and program staff relative to laws, rules, program policy, operational procedures, Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and administration of programs. Consult with operations and program staff to identify unmet needs and develop resources to meet those needs.

Maintain up-to-date information and access current resource material. Confers with Headquarters Program Office to review policy and law interpretation and provide feedback to operations and program staff.

Participate in meetings and staffing of cases.

Schedule and conduct Quality Assurance reviews in accordance with current statewide quality assurance policies and procedures. Prepare and monitor any related quality improvement plans.

Analyze and interpret data to aid operations and program staff to maintain compliance with current performance standards.

Serve as liaison with local law enforcement, judicial, other state departments and local and community organizations as required.

Perform region and district-wide travel related to assigned duties.

Employee must hold a valid, unrestricted Florida driver’s license, have the use of a private automobile, and maintain current vehicle insurance.

Coordinate and conduct Random Moment Time Sampling activities within the assigned program area(s).

Prepare and maintain all required programmatic, data system fiscal records and reports related to the assigned program area(s).

Ensure that any related invoices for payment comply with all current standards, policies and procedures.

Conduct second party review system if required.

Obtain and analyze monthly and quarterly performance reports and assure that they are accurate, timely and transmitted to the Headquarters Adult Protective Services Program Office as required.

Perform other related duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred and four years of professional experience in health, social, economic, or rehabilitative programs.
