Open Rank Teaching Faculty, 9 or 12 Month Salaried - Hospitality Management (Panama City Campus

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach face-to-face and online courses in the Hospitality and Tourism Management curriculum with a special emphasis on core courses in the program (including: financial analysis, leadership, marketing for hospitality, managing revenues, lodging, and/or catering management).
• Work with colleagues on campus, and from the Dedman College of Hospitality at the Tallahassee campus, to support the program with course coordination, curriculum development, and committee service.
• Provide high quality instruction, career advising/mentorship, and student service to our on-campus and online students.
• Be an engaged faculty member fostering relationships with local hospitality and tourism education and industry partners.
• Opportunities are available to engage in research, though not specifically required for this teaching faculty position.

PhD or DBA in Hospitality Management, or strongly related field, from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, and candidates who have a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management with a related doctoral degree will also be considered.

Previous university teaching experience, demonstrated ability to teach online, and applied industry experience. We especially seek candidates who can teach a broad range of undergraduate Hospitality Management courses. Successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be dedicated to student success.
