UUV Technician Operator, Mid
The OpportunitySupport the Navy’s Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) systems, and variants, by maintaining, operating, and providing test support. Perform routine and advanced corrective maintenance actions in support of research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) engineering changes. Assist with the development of mission planning and post‑mission analysis, and support in‑water testing of systems and equipment. Guide Navy members in the use of systems following engineering and software changes.
YouHave
- 3+ years of experience providing technical support on UUVs or Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs)
- Experience installing or testing engineering changes on UUVs or USVs and associated support equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and correcting problems on UUVs or USVs
- Experience planning and executing UUV or USV mission plans, including performing pre‑mission support or post‑mission analysis (PMA)
- Knowledge of Navy maintenance practices and Navy Technical Manuals
- Ability to operate UUVs or USVs while being at sea or on the water
- Ability to read and redline Naval and commercial engineering drawings
- Ability to interface with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and Navy fleet activities to coordinate and safely test and operate UUVs and USVs
- Secret clearance
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience performing routine and advanced maintenance on various UUV variants
- Experience operating UUV variants
- Bachelor’s degree
- Completion of UUV Advanced Maintenance Training Courses

Salary range: $55,300.00 – $ (annualized USD). This figure represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of the total compensation package.
