We’re partnering with a well‑established civil engineering and infrastructure firm that is hiring an experienced Senior Civil Engineer – PE to join its Pensacola, FL team.
This is a strong opportunity for a licensed civil engineer who wants to work on meaningful municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects while potentially stepping into a leadership role based on experience.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, permitting, civil design, and project management
. You’ll be involved in the design, analysis, planning, and delivery of civil engineering solutions that directly impact the communities you serve.
- Lead and support the design of civil infrastructure projects for public‑sector clients.
- Work on projects involving stormwater, drainage, ponds, collection systems, conveyance, hydrology, and hydraulics
. - Prepare engineering evaluations, technical reports, progress reports, and design documentation.
- Develop cost estimates and assist with project planning and budgeting.
- Support permitting efforts, including coordination with jurisdictional agencies.
- Prepare permit applications and supporting technical documentation.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and support staff to deliver projects accurately and on time.
- Help manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with municipal, county, state, and federal partners.
- Contribute ideas and technical solutions that improve infrastructure and community outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 7+ years of civil engineering experience or related infrastructure experience.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- Florida PE preferred, or ability to obtain Florida licensure.
- Strong background in stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, collection, and conveyance systems
. - Experience working with permitting agencies and preparing permit applications.
- Project management and budgeting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft 365, ICPR, or similar modeling software is a plus.
