Functions Field Engineering II will work closely with team members too:  
* Coordinates and interacts with the design disciplines, clients, vendors, and production / craft when necessary.
* Apply standard design principles and theories to resolve production problems and stop work issues.
* Where necessary and with the concurrence of discipline supervisors, review and modify production/fabrication drawings of all systems.
* Assist with construction planning support activities.
* Review documents, piping and HVAC diagrams, mechanical systems, equipment design and functions and performance analyses
* Assist in the integration of the design in Production and work closely with shipyard personnel.
* Production of detailed plans of action and deficiency reports to support the project objectives and schedules.
* Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
* Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the review of drawings.
* Make required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by the immediate supervisor.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship  
* This position will report to Field Engineering Supervisor Qualifications Education /

Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering Required Qualified candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:  
* Should have 6-15 years of experience in either commercial marine or governments shipbuilding programs
* Have good analytical skills.
* Be capable of working with minimum supervision to accomplish assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to interpret contract requirements and specifications.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
