Duties
1.Coordinate, Integrate, and Synchronize SAR/PR policy, strategy, and operations for AFNORTH. Serve as the Air Force's Northern (AFNORTH) senior technical operations and plans staff officer for Search and Rescue (SAR) and Personnel Recovery (PR) support in the AFNORTH/A3. 2. Perform duties as a SAR/PR operations officer for the AFNORTH PRCC.
3. Lead deliberate and crisis action planning discussions, meetings, committees, and special projects; conducts and analyses, presents briefings, and prepares recommendations and reports.
4. Represent the AFNORTH Future Operations at Search and Rescue (SAR) and Personnel Recovery (PR) events. Requirements Conditions of employment

- Member must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance as a condition of employment. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Other intelligence-related Special Sensitive Information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAPs) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. A favorable suitability determination is required before appointment.
- Work will occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station for the purpose of attending training visiting other activities, attending conferences, or responding to events.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft. The incumbent may be required to work overtime. This position is subject to uncommon tours of duty and mandatory shift work.
- This position is designated by the Air force as a Test Designated Position (TOP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TOP.
- The incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing. The selectee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is identified as a TOP.
- This is a KEY position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations, Incumbent of key positions.
- Must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.

Position requires incumbent's physical presence due to face-to-face contact with others. - Incumbent may be eligible during emergency or OPM prescribed "unscheduled Telework". Supervisor approval is required on case-by-case basis.
- In the performance of assigned duties, employee uses tact, diplomacy, and professionalism to promote effective working relationships with a variety of offices and agencies.
