Position: Pool Attendant (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Part-Time Pool Attendant

Turn on your Island Charm… Latitude Margaritaville Water Sound is looking for a Part-Time Pool Attendant to join our team!

The Latitude Paradise Pool Attendant is responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements, and maintaining an inventory of all poolside equipment to ensure it is available for guest use at all times. The attendant serves residents by providing information and services and is experienced in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Oversee the pool area and make safety announcements.
  • Verify resident/guest status.
  • Ensure all amenity handbook policies are enforced.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
  • Submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager.
  • Be service oriented.
  • Pick up debris from the pool and possess basic cleaning skills.
  • Check sports equipment (ping pong, golf, shuffleboard, and others) to ensure they are in order for guests to use.
  • Report broken sports equipment to manager so that replacement equipment can be ordered.
  • Work as a team member.
  • Be accessible to and approachable with residents/guests.
  • Be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Create an "I Love My Job" environment that further enlivens the Margaritaville Latitude Lifestyle.
Education / Training
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Completion of college level courses in hospitality is strongly desirable.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Two (2) or more years experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Special Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work outside in direct sunlight and heat.
  • Walk and climb stairs.
  • Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written word.
  • Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and events.
