The Junior Support Engineer (IT) will provide technical assistance and support to ensure seamless operation of IT systems critical to manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional eager to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain IT infrastructure in a fast‑paced industrial setting. The Junior Support Engineer will work closely with the IT and production teams to ensure system reliability, data security, and operational efficiency.

• Provide first‑level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues within the manufacturing facility
• Assist in maintaining IT systems critical to manufacturing operations, including ERP systems, production software, and data tracking tools
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, servers, printers, and mobile devices
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technology‑related challenges affecting production and operational efficiency
• Support cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring all systems are compliant with security protocols and updates
• Document technical issues, solutions, and workarounds for future reference
• Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades and implementation of new technologies
• Provide training and guidance to end‑users to enhance their IT proficiency
• Stay informed about emerging IT trends and technologies relevant to the manufacturing industry

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

Experience:

• 1‑2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus

• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers and databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Azure)
