PurposeTechnician 1 is an entry‑level position that performs general labor activities associated with hydroblasting, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning services. Work occurs during outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and general maintenance scopes.
Essential Functions- Operate wet and dry vacuum trucks.
- Operate hydroblasting equipment, including lance and shotgun.
- Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Assist in manual tasks as needed.
- Clean vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
- Ensure tasks are performed safely with the highest quality.
- Report potential issues or concerns to Crew Leader and/or Branch Manager.
- Use computers periodically for training purposes.
- Adhere to company policies and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, face, hand, and foot protection.
- Work when scheduled and comply with the company attendance policy.
- Attend all safety and health training, as required.
- Travel is required sometimes for long periods.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in other areas as needed, including shop, parts, inventory, and municipal.
- Use handheld radio/phone.
- Communicate effectively with crew and division personnel.
- Operate a utility/pickup truck for hauling people and equipment.
- Maintain a safety‑first, positive attitude and work as a team.
- Read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
- See within normal range with or without corrective lenses.
- Adapt to change with short notice.
- Complete all pre and post‑training, including safety, new hire, and regulatory.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while contributing to and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

- Complete all required safety‑related training, including Confined Space, Hazardous Materials Emergency Response, Aerial Lift Training, Lock Out Tag Out, Heat Stress, MSHA, Hazard Communications, and H2S.
- One to two years of physical work in industrial or construction experience preferred; mechanical abilities helpful but not required.
- Have reliable transportation and a means of communication.
- Pass a drug test, background, and motor vehicle check.
- Valid State‑issued Driver’s License and .
Industrial setting, outside environment, exposure to extreme temperatures and elements possible; noisy conditions; exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Physical ConditionsMust be physically capable of performing all duties. Ability to lift and carry 75–100 pounds. Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, pushing/pulling, squatting/kneeling, and substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
