Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join our ranks. As part of the team, you will help support systems for NSWC Panama City. This work is both high profile and highly complex, so we are looking for problem-solvers that are able to work quickly to provide innovative solutions through solid, lightweight code. We want someone who can draw on expertise and experiences to collaborate with the team and ultimately provide a high-quality product to the customer.

Job Requirements
Things you MUST possess:
- Ten years of experience.
- We need a solution-oriented personality who is not only able to solve complex engineering problems, but also explain your decisions in a manner that makes sense to the rest of the team (This includes being able to speak intelligently with techies and non-technical folks).
- The ability to provide guidance to those that need it and take advice from those offering to give it.
- Like most places, we work in an Agile/SCRUM environment, so this means you will be expected to give updates on a very frequent basis.
- Must be able to give accurate work/time estimates based on what’s being asked of you, and be willing to ask questions if you need more information to make an accurate estimate.
The tasks you’d be performing:
You would perform simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. You’d perform one or a combination of such typical duties as:
- Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
- Performing such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits.
- Repairing simple electronic equipment.
- Taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators,semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
- Performing assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
- Selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents.
- Receiving initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed.
- Performing recurring work independently.
- Performing at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as: constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment.
- Troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions.
