EPS Corporation is seeking a motivated and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welding to meet project specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal materials according to specifications.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, drill presses, plasma cutters, and press brakes.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Repair or modify existing metal structures and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience (or equivalent training).
- Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong measuring and layout skills.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and shop equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent).
- Experience with structural steel, custom fabrication, or heavy equipment repair.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift materials throughout the workday.
- Work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, eye protection, and steel‑toed boots.
