- Provide advanced neonatal care in a busy 28-bed Level III NICU
- Participate in a collaborative in-house NNP model delivering 24/7 coverage
- Manage an average census of approximately 19 critically ill neonates daily
- Support roughly 2,700 annual deliveries with high-risk pregnancies
- Perform neonatal assessments, daily rounds, and manage acute care
- Attend high-risk deliveries and participate in neonatal resuscitations
- Perform neonatal procedures based on clinical competency
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary team members
- Exercise clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making in patient care
- Work alongside a dedicated neonatal transport team and utilize subspecialty support services
- Contribute to a team-oriented, patient-centered practice environment
- Participate in educational activities, including opportunities with medical students from local institutions
Required:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in neonatal or pediatric critical care
- Strong clinical judgment, autonomous decision-making skills
- Experience in Level III NICU settings
- Experience attending high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations
