Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large‑diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid‑sized manufacturer with three U.S. Locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking full‑time QUALITY ENGINEER for our Panama City, Florida location.

Primary Duties
  • Support manufacturing and quality process improvement activities through process evaluation, root cause support, and implementation of best practices.
  • Assist with process validation, product validation, and implementation of new or revised processes, products, equipment, or system capabilities.
  • Support Technical Services in reviewing customer, product, inspection, and testing requirements and translating them into actionable manufacturing and quality inputs.
  • Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of technical order‑execution documents, including MPS, CPS, ITPs, inspection plans, testing instructions, and related customer compliance records.
  • Support OPTICS and other quality/manufacturing systems by ensuring technical requirements, inspection criteria, lab instructions, and traceability requirements are accurately entered, maintained, and communicated.
  • Serve as a cross‑functional support resource between Technical Services, Quality Operations, Quality Systems, Operations, IT, Procurement, and other departments to support quality, process, data, and order‑execution needs.
  • Support investigations of NCRs, customer complaints, manufacturing deviations, supplier issues, and CPAR activities by gathering evidence, analyzing causes, and assisting with corrective action development.
  • Support raw material and supplier‑related activities by providing data analysis, specification support, supplier performance trends, and technical input for material concerns, claims, or release decisions.
  • Prepare quality data packages, reports, and technical summaries for customer order closeout, internal reviews, lessons learned, audits, and improvement activities.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze quality and process performance metrics to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with IT and other internal resources to improve methods for acquiring, archiving, analyzing, and reporting quality and manufacturing data.
  • Participate in assigned internal audits, process audits, system reviews, and compliance checks to support customer requirements, internal standards, API Q1, ISO 9001, and quality system effectiveness.
  • Provide training or support to personnel on quality systems, data tools, OPTICS usage, technical requirements, process changes, and improvement activities as assigned.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness, continuous improvement, data‑driven decision‑making, and customer‑focused problem solving across departments.
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Industrial Technology or related technical/scientific field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Internship, co‑op, project, or work experience in a manufacturing, quality, engineering, laboratory, or industrial environment. (Preferred)
  • Experience using statistical, data‑analysis, visualization, or reporting tools such as Minitab, JMP, Power BI, Excel, or similar applications. (Preferred)
  • Coursework, project experience, or exposure related to quality engineering, statistics, manufacturing processes, materials, process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis. (Preferred)
  • Experience working with technical documents, specifications, procedures, test records, inspection data, or process data. (Preferred)
