- Maintain a positive attitude while greeting customers and patients.
- Advocate for cannabis customer care.
- Help customers and patients navigate cannabis products and educate them on wellness uses.
- Build rapport with regular patients/customers to foster repeat business.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.
- Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products (medical advice is not provided).
- Engage in ongoing cannabis education and training.
- Support managers and fellow Cannabis Advisors as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/store front.
- Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick‑up.
- Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
- Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
- Process transactions at the POS and update the state‑monitored inventory system (METRC, Bio Track, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
- 21 years of age or older and compliance with all local, state, and company regulations.
- Must undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances.
- Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
- Ability to use office equipment (computers, printers) and related software such as Word, Excel, and email.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.
Performing this job requires remaining in a stationary position for much of the day, moving and/or positioning oneself, communicating, operating and preparing tools and controls, and occasionally moving packages weighing up to 20 lb. The employee may stand up to 90% of the time. The position requires normal hearing and vision, with or without correction. These mental and physical requirements represent the standards required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Work is performed in a retail environment. Noise level is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described above represent typical conditions encountered by employees performing the essential functions of this position.
