Job Summary

Install, program, maintain, and repair security alarm wiring and equipment while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes for Safe Streets and state and local municipalities. Represent Safe Streets professionally in customer homes and businesses, identify customer needs, and support sales activities by educating customers on products and services and presenting available upgrade or additional service options, as applicable.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Arrive promptly at each installation opportunity and enhance the customer security system by following the company’s approved enhancement process, performing installations efficiently according to company training and the Installation Manual.
  • Provide professional consultation to customers about additional security needs or concerns.
  • Ensure all paperwork and digital confirmations are completed correctly, including customer signatures and payment (if required) at the time of the installation visit.
  • Check in upon arrival at each appointment.
  • Update Salesforce after a successful installation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and controls, including receipt, usage, and physical counts.
  • Maintain certifications, licenses, insurance, and other required documents.
  • Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and emails.
  • Effectively communicate information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Apply company-established processes and protocols to respond to and solve customer inquiries.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Have considerable dexterity in hands, fingers, and wrists.
  • Work inside and outside residential homes and commercial dwellings under varying temperature conditions in a generally hazard‑free environment.
  • Operate a fully functional vehicle to travel to appointments; travel may be up to 30% of the workday.
Licenses, Certifications & Educational Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Alarm industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional appearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Compensation

Safe Streets compensation may include base pay and, for eligible roles, variable compensation or bonuses. Variable and bonus compensation is not guaranteed and is governed by applicable plan terms. All compensation is paid in compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including applicable minimum wage and overtime requirements. Variable pay is defined as a performance‑based compensation structure and will be shared in a separate compensation plan.
