Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing underground utility systems, including water, sewer, storm drainage, and stormwater piping. This position requires working closely with excavation crews to ensure pipelines are installed safely, accurately, and according to project specifications. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Pay Range

$18.50 per hour

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility installation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow directions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and physically capable of performing demanding labor.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in trenches.
  • Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install underground water, sewer, storm drain, and utility piping according to blueprints and project specifications.
  • Prepare trenches for pipe installation, ensuring proper grade and alignment.
  • Lay, connect, and secure pipe using appropriate tools and installation methods.
  • Read grade stakes, lasers, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation.
  • Assist with trench shoring, back filling, compaction, and site restoration.
  • Work alongside equipment operators, foremen, and construction crews to complete projects efficiently.
  • Inspect materials and completed installations to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
  • Perform general labor duties as needed to support construction operations.
