Rigger ; Security Clearance

Ghostrock, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Rigger I to join our team in Panama City, Florida.

This position requires movement and installation of large pieces of equipment. Rigging support includes regular travel to sea on various vessels. Work is often performed in extreme conditions with exposure to weather hazards, high temperatures, wind, rain, and sea conditions. Responsibilities include handling burns and cuts when handling wire, fiber and synthetic ropes.

• Obtain NAVFAC P-307 certification from the 40‑hour NAVFAC P-307 and NSWCPCDINST 5296.1F training course to direct the movement of cranes. Government provides the training within 30 days after task order award.
• Trained, licensed and certified forklift operator for moving large objects.
• Obtain Fall Protection Training and certification to work aloft; maintain certifications and check out fall protection gear as needed.
• Fabricate slings, bridles, fabric covers, harnesses, wire rope or fiber towing eyes, etc. per blueprints and engineering drawing tolerances.
• Determine equipment and materials needed for tasks, cut and prepare materials, fit components, assemble to final dimensions, and visually inspect finished parts to ensure standards and tolerances are met. Request procurement of additional materials in writing.
• Fabricate and assemble all types of tow wire systems, lifting slings, and pendants using swaging sleeves, spliced ends, or poured sockets. Verify tether lengths with a Government representative.
• Deploy and recover inert mine fields, target shapes, underwater cables, and support testing as required while deployed on Navy or commercial vessels.
• Deploy and recover towed, remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicles while deployed on Navy or commercial vessels.
• Install or repair rigging on masts, antennas, small boat handling gear, winches, etc., working aloft with certified fall protection gear and certifications.
• Transport government or Contractor systems, hardware, tools and equipment to various bases and test facilities.
• Load test and prepare Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and lifting hardware for Government certification.
• Operate weight handling equipment and lifting hardware to move heavy, bulky items upon request.
• Fabricate shipping containers.
• Have access to classified information up to and including the SECRET level.
