Salary Range: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour

MANDEX is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician III to join our Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) team in Panama City, Florida. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, solving complex challenges, and supporting mission-critical facilities, this is an opportunity to build and maintain advanced electronic security systems that protect government and defense operations.

As a key member of our installation team, you'll work with cutting-edge physical security technologies while collaborating with experienced professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade integrated electronic and physical security systems.
  • Install and terminate low-voltage and high-voltage wiring, including copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Install equipment, security panels, conduit, cable trays, and associated infrastructure.
  • Bend and install rigid and EMT conduit.
  • Configure and program electronic security software and system components.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Diagnose system issues and perform corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
  • Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to safety and security requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support installation and sustainment activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS).
  • Strong background working with electronic and physical security systems.
  • Experience with:
  • Low- and high-voltage electrical systems
  • Copper and fiber optic cable installation and termination
  • Cable dressing and connector fabrication/repair
  • Rigid and EMT conduit installation and conduit bending
  • Electrical power connections, including 220V systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Pull cable and perform repetitive installation tasks
  • Climb ladders and work at varying heights
  • Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from one of the following:
    • Accredited technical or vocational school
    • Class A or Class B military electronics or communications school
    • Four-year electronics apprenticeship program
    • Training should include subjects such as:
  • Soldering
  • Cable tray installation
  • Conduit installation
  • Connector fabrication and repair

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LenelS2 certification
  • Experience commissioning and integrating enterprise security systems
  • Experience supporting government or Department of Defense facilities

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Security:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
