Background ScreeningThe State of Florida requires a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment.
Minimum Requirements- Two years or more of paraprofessional experience in a position where the major responsibility was determining eligibility, conducting interviews, providing counseling, recruiting, billing, or collecting accounts, checking credit, processing insurance policies or claims, or providing customer service.
- Or have an Associate’s degree.
- Or 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college coursework can substitute for the experience.
- Minimum of two years of processing experience in the ESS program as an Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialist I or II.
- Must be willing to travel.
A skills assessment test will be administered as part of the application process.
Job DescriptionSupervises Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialists. Primary duties include communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees' performance; planning and directing their work; and leading the team to enhance customer service and achieve agency goals.
