Software Engineer
Position SummaryAs a Software Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), you will drive the full lifecycle of fleet support services for high-speed connectors and systems. Your expertise will bridge the gap between initial planning and final deployment, encompassing requirements engineering, technical design, and production validation to ensure mission-critical reliability for the Navy.
Clearance RequirementsMust have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience in designing and implementing real-time embedded software intensive code solutions.
- Experience in testing and debugging software components including testing resulting components and analyzing runtime profiles to debug errors.
- Experience in integrating software units and components to produce integrated software items consistent with the design.

Additional Qualifications / ResponsibilitiesRequired Education, Skills, and
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 8 years of experience in computer or software engineering on systems similar to the LCAC C4N.
- Certified Software Development Professional (CSEP) by IEEE, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel).
- Regular physical activity includes walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing with occasional prolonged sitting.
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax, and other office equipment.
