How you can make your mark
In the role of electrical superintendent you will be responsible for the availability and reliability of electrical systems on our worldwide fleet of vessels.
You will be vital in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of our designated fleet. As electrical superintendent, you will coordinate repairs and modifications. You will be part of the E&I department in Papendrecht. You will work together with fleet management, crew, suppliers, and other specialists. The role encompasses responsibility for the technical performance of electrical installations on the assigned equipment and the execution of maintenance.
Yourresponsibilities as electrical superintendent
- Ensuring availability and reliability of electrical installations on our vessels and equipment.
- Advice fleet management regarding electrical systems on our vessels and equipment.
- Support the crew for electrical issues on board and preparation of dockings and repairs on electrical equipment in close cooperation with fleet management.
- Coaching and training on‑the‑job of Ship's Electricians.
- Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance, and long‑term maintenance and or replacement of electrical system.
- Advise on technical proposals from suppliers.
- Contributing to E&I projects for repairs and modification.
- Technical and operational knowledge of assigned equipment.
- Higher Professional Education (Bachelor):
Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent. - Knowledge of the applicable Occupational Health & Safety rules and classification and flag state certificates.
- Basic skills in ICT Office and fleet management systems.
- Experience:
5-8 years relevant experience in a maritime environment. - Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
