Job Summary
The Sarpy County Election Commission is looking for hard‑working individuals who are computer literate and have a good eye for detail. The position focuses primarily on customer service. Other duties are assigned by the department coordinator.
Working Hours- Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:45
- Full‑time preferred
- Part‑time hours require 25 or more hours per week
- Estimated start:
July 2026
- Provide customer service to the public.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Follow directions, state statutes, and work independently.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 net words per minute (NWPM) – tested later.
- Experience using computers for data entry, customer service, and/or clerical work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer service experience preferred.
Applicants will be required to submit to a background check, including a criminal history records check, as part of Sarpy County's Employment Policy. Having a criminal history will not necessarily bar you from employment with Sarpy County; individual circumstances will be considered.
This recruitment is subject to Veterans' Preference. Appointment to the position will be contingent upon a favorable background check.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe role requires frequent sitting/remaining stationary, talking/hearing, operating equipment, and using hands. Occasionally the employee must stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and climb stairs. Lifting or moving up to 30 pounds may be required. Required sensory abilities include vision and hearing. The work is performed indoors in an office setting, with potential evenings, weekends, call‑ins, and holidays. The environment is typically moderate noise level.
