Description of Work: The College of Arts and Sciences seeks applications and nominations for a position as Associate Dean for Faculty. The successful candidate will be a member of the Dean’s cabinet and will participate in policy, planning, and budget decisions within the college. The appointment FTE will be up to 0.70 and is 100% administration.
Primary areas of responsibility will likely include:
- Faculty appointments and reappointments.
- Faculty workshops and mentoring.
- Faculty leaves.
- Faculty merit and salary.
- Faculty searches and hiring.
- Faculty promotion and tenure.
- Faculty awards and professorships.
- Chair review and searches.
- Department Chair workshops and support.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Tenured full professor in the UNL College of Arts and Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Department or College leadership experience.
