Campus Staff Minister I – Greater North Texas Area (Undergraduate Ministry)

Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship is called to plant and build witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus on college and university campuses. Our teams work in a diverse, inclusive environment, fostering discipleship, outreach, evangelism, empowerment, missions, and professional development for students, faculty, and campus ministry staff.

Responsibilities
  • Spiritual Growth
    • Pursue a vibrant relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
    • Develop self‑leadership, relational integrity, and resiliency.
    • Live out Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.
  • Campus Leadership
    • Communicate and model Inter Varsity’s vision for campus renewal and world change.
    • Create a culture of humble dependence and bold expectation for new witnessing communities.
    • Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences.
    • Set annual goals with prayer, research, and reflection with student, faculty, and staff teams.
    • Develop, align, and leverage ministry plans and structures to achieve growth, conversions, and leadership development.
    • Mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks and start new missional communities.
    • Supervise ministry interns as delegated by the Area Director.
    • Invite, coach, and equip leaders to become participants and leaders in witnessing communities.
  • Organizational Collaboration
    • Work with local, area, regional, and national Inter Varsity staff and volunteers.
    • Respond to the direction and coaching of supervisors and national leaders.
    • Contribute to collaborative and productive team meetings.
    • Affiliate chapters and submit graduating student forms.
    • Use national ministry resources, attending conferences as required.
    • Complete reporting, planning, and review requirements timely.
    • Comply with all Inter Varsity policies and procedures.
  • Ministry Partnership Development
    • Build partnerships with churches, alumni, and community members.
    • Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by the supervisor.
    • Communicate regularly with ministry partners through visits, calls, emails, and prayer letters.
    • Develop long‑lasting partnerships with alumni and volunteers.
    • Identify and invest in advocates who build networks of volunteers and donors.
    • Accomplish any other assigned tasks as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Annually affirm Inter Varsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).
  • Abide by Inter Varsity’s Code of Conduct.
  • Believe and behave consonantly with Inter Varsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
  • Affirm and behave consonantly with Inter Varsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affiliation.”
  • Bachelor’s degree required for campuses in four‑year institutions;
    Associate’s degree for two‑year campuses or community colleges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements

The CSM position leads ministry in a college campus environment. A designated office space may or may not be available. The CSM is required to travel to on‑campus and off‑campus sites including conferences, partnership meetings, and training sessions. Regular communication and routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $39,288.00 – $52,392.00 per year. The position is funded through personal fundraising; compensation depends on the ability to raise a donor team to cover the salary within the range. Benefits include health insurance, retirement savings with a match, dental insurance, employee assistance program, flexible work schedule, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, professional development assistance, vision insurance, and health savings account.
