Elementary Special Education Teacher - Papillion, NE

Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position near Papillion, NE. This full-time opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact, working across two welcoming elementary schools, with approximately half of your days at each site. You will work with a manageable caseload of 15-20 students, collaborating with students, families, and staff to foster growth and achievement.

This position begins as soon as possible, continuing through the winter break, with the possibility of extension if a permanent teacher is not secured.

• Current Special Education Teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience teaching elementary-level special education classes.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability working across multiple school settings.

• Design and deliver engaging, individualized instruction to meet students unique needs.
• Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support inclusion and student success.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for a diverse range of learning abilities.
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals or classroom aides as needed.
