Wind Field Service Technician III – Cottonwood – Campbell, NB

Join the nation's largest infrastructure developer as a Wind Field Service Technician at Next Era Energy. The role will be based at the Ninnescah site near Campbell, NB, and will require 100% traveling within the area supporting multiple wind, battery storage, and solar sites.

The Wind Field Service Technician is the frontline ensuring safe and optimal performance of all wind farm operations, focusing on safe execution of field-based maintenance, diagnostics, reliability and profitability.

• Implement Operation Safety Policy Instructions, conduct fieldwork in compliance with OSHA regulations, encourage good safety practices, and drive an unparalleled safety culture.
• Participate in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
• Recruit and develop other technicians.
• Support site manager for timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and turbine availability.
• Collaborate closely with internal Next Era users to develop and implement operation-focused feedback and solutions for planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development, and financial performance.
• Present a positive professional representation of Next Era Energy in the community and with customers.

• Travel extensively with little or no notice across the company fleet.
• Perform maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling.
• Complete Safety Mentor training curriculum within 6 months of hire.
• Complete Wind Field Service Technician III training curriculum within first year.
• Meet attendance requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• High School Graduate / GED.
• 0+ years experience.
• Valid driver's license (non-CDL).
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Evaluation.

• Associate’s Degree.
