Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be an essential part of the clinical team—providing the reliable testing providers need to diagnose conditions, guide treatment decisions, and deliver the best possible care. This is an excellent opportunity for an MLT who enjoys hands-on work, values accuracy, and wants broad experience across multiple areas of the laboratory.
What You’ll Do- Perform clinical laboratory testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Immunology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank
- Prepare and process specimens while ensuring proper identification, handling, storage, and integrity
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Review and validate test results, recognizing discrepancies and unexpected findings that require additional attention
- Accurately document results in the Laboratory Information System
- Promptly communicate critical or urgent results to providers, nurses, and other clinical team members
- Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and continuous quality-improvement activities
- Follow CLIA, CAP, OSHA, infection-control, and laboratory safety requirements
- Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure supplies are properly stocked
- Participate in continuing education and training to strengthen your skills and remain current with laboratory practices
- Make a meaningful contribution to patient care every shift
- Gain broad, hands‑on experience across multiple laboratory disciplines
- Work closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from an accredited program
- Completion of a NAACLS‑accredited MLT program
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Current state licensure, if applicable
- One year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or outpatient lab
- Familiarity with CLIA regulations and CAP accreditation standards
