Position Summary
The Beverage Bar Back provides friendly, excellent service to customers and maintains the beverage area clean and stocked. The role includes delivery of bar supplies, operating carts and containers, and ensuring a safe and professional environment in line with Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies.
Responsibilities- Obtain supplies and equipment for each beverage station and place fruits, glasses, and silverware correctly.
- Prepare fruit, fill ice bins, and clean ashtrays.
- Wash glasses for the bartender and clear debris from the bar.
- Maintain current understanding of information security policies and comply at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
- Accept that duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations may change as needed.
- Push, pull, and turn a four‑wheel loaded cart to all bars in the casino from the liquor storeroom.
- Unload cart and place or stack orders in pre‑designated areas.
- Return empty cart to liquor storeroom.
- Remove trash, empty boxes, and soiled bar towels one to four times a shift.
- Sort trash at dumpster areas into proper container, then return empty trash carts.
- Know the location of all bars within the complex.
- Thoroughly clean the floors of all mats and the floor behind bars (swing & graveyard shift).
- Exchange empty bottles of liquor for full bottles in the pump room.
- Change Bag‑in‑Box, CO₂ tanks, and tap kegs.
- May be called upon to deliver empty bottles to liquor storeroom area.
- May be called upon to deliver ice to bars.
- Occasionally act as Beverage Bartender when needed.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment such as juice guns, cutting boards, soda guns, ice machines, mixers, pourers, knives, coffee machines, non‑alcoholic frozen drink machines, iced tea machines, and other necessary equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems or conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, pull, and carry beverage stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets.
- Extensive walking, pushing, and pulling required.
- Work in a moderately loud environment that can become loud on the casino floor.
- Ability to work in a smoking‑permitted environment.
- Must stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Maintain physical stamina under pressure in a fast‑paced casino environment.
Starting rate: $10.70 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education, with the possibility of waived requirements for unqualified candidates.
