Cylinder Handler Loader - Waverly, NE

Overview

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging and limited customer service. To include moving cylinders to other designated destinations along with ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. Reports to Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor. Interacts with customers, sales, management and other operations personnel.

• Load and unload cylinders on assigned trucks or tractors or other designated areas throughout the location, including checking identification, labels, valves, and styles to determine if a cylinder needs filled or should remain empty, if it needs painted or has any marks, following required procedures to ensure safe storage of all cylinder products.
• Ensure all loads are secure prior to deliveries by checking strapping, cylinder location in vehicle, correct cylinders loaded, and that all cylinders have been checked and have proper tags.
• Handle materials of cylinders manually or with dollies, carts and forklifts. Transport vehicles (including but not limited to) trucks, tractors, forklifts, and cylinder carts requiring different dock locations when loading or unloading.
• Perform housekeeping duties for safety and appearance purposes.
• Notify supervisor of quality assurance problems.
• All tasks require following safety procedures and policies to ensure the safety of equipment, containers, or materials.
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED
• Job Requirements:
  
  Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
