Director of Nursing – Hillcrest Country Estates

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for an experienced, driven, and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the clinical team at Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion, NE.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Nursing
, you will provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for nursing services at Hillcrest Country Estates. You will lead clinical operations with a focus on quality, compliance, team development, resident satisfaction, and strong care outcomes.

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for nursing services across the community.
  • Ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and support nurses, clinical leaders, and care team members.
  • Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
  • Oversee clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and nursing workflows.
  • Monitor quality measures, clinical trends, documentation, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain survey readiness and support regulatory compliance across nursing services.
  • Promote strong infection‑control practices, risk management, and resident safety standards.
  • Support care planning, resident condition management, and effective communication with residents and families.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, urgency, service excellence, and clinical pride.
  • Identify barriers, solve problems, and implement process improvements that support better outcomes.
  • Serve as a visible, hands‑on clinical leader who builds trust with team members, residents, families, and providers.
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a strong clinical leader who is confident, organized, and ready to lead with both accountability and heart. The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast‑paced senior living environment, able to develop others, and committed to creating a culture where quality care, teamwork, and follow‑through matter.

  • Previous nursing leadership experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, senior living, or post‑acute care.
  • DON or ADON experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, survey processes, quality measures, and clinical compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build trust, and drive results.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while staying focused on resident care and team support.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to hold teams accountable.
  • Commitment to service excellence, resident satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • A steady, professional approach in urgent, complex, or changing situations.
Education & Credentials

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Current CPR certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Previous long‑term care or skilled nursing leadership experience preferred.
