The medical surgical floor registered nurse (RN) position is located in the Nebraska area. The role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care setting. The position requires passing a skills exam during orientation and involves working night shifts with a schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The RN will be integrated into the team and participate in classroom and on-floor orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

• Schedule:
  
  Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid nursing license; BLS certification (Basic Life Support); ACLS certification preferred; 1 year of relevant RN experience;
  Driver's license required at submittal.
• Special Notes: RN candidates must pass a skills exam with a score of at least 90%; artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas; candidates must comply with the radius rule of 50 miles and may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with facilities associated with the organization. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be communicated upfront, with up to 7 days allowed within a 13-week contract;
  
  additional RTO requests will not be approved.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  Float to emergency room if needed; participate in unit-specific orientation; perform duties in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Charting System: EPIC.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  1 year of RN experience.
• Other:
  The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4 during days and 1:5 during nights; charge nurses and nurse aides are present on each shift; scrubs provided in navy blue; orientation includes classroom sessions and one on-floor shift.
