Cafe Associate

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member:
  Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborates with cross‑functional teams; educates other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicates effectively; and remains flexible to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert:
  Prepares food according to item specifications; plans future productions and mass productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; demonstrates an understanding of product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie:
  Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date‑control standards; eliminates waste; provides member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs; assists with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates the brand; develops, influences, and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, team‑oriented style; understands roadblocks and assists in training.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implements related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; applies them in business processes.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00* (actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location).

Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances; premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

• Successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

• Food Safety Certification.
