Position SummaryConstructors Inc. is looking for highly motivated individuals to join the team for the seasonal position. This role requires working individually or in a group to perform and assist with various jobs at mobile asphalt plants. Responsibilities include abiding by Company Safety Program and Policies while performing duties safely. Reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate equipment to keep plant sites and shop area clean, as directed by plant personnel.
- Identify and perform minor repairs/maintenance/cleaning on equipment used.
- Work with/on equipment such as skid loaders, aerial lifts, and dump trucks.
- Perform daily lubrication and upkeep of the plant.
- Assure work is done safely and efficiently and does not negatively impact the safety of employees and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience with manual labor in a plant environment and equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid NE driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance program.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of 60+ hours per week, including some Saturdays to accommodate assignments and weather conditions.
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions to assure work responsibilities are accomplished safely.
- Must be able to stay motivated and work on own initiative.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
