POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Journeyman Equipment Operators for an exciting Water project in Papillion, NE. We are currently hiring operators experienced with:

* Excavators

* Dozers

* Loaders

* Skid Loaders

* Fork Trucks

* Haul Trucks

* Rollers

The ideal applicant has 5+ years of experience as an equipment operator and maneuvers equipment in a safe manner.

Compensation: IUOE Local 571 Wages

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Completes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily

* Recognize hazards and danger zones

* Plan and execute work with minimum supervision

* Read and interpret blueprints

* Properly identify soil types

* Complete shallow and deep trenching excavations activities

* Rough and fine grading with dozer

* Safely Load and unload materials

* Drive water truck/off road truck

* Completes machine load charts

* Operate long reach excavator and motor grader

* Operate small construction equipment (front loader, mixer, forklift, and skid steer)

* Inspect and provide basic maintenance on equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be an existing member or willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 571

* Prior experience with self-perform earthwork operations in commercial or civil environments

* Must be able to use laser level

* Understand construction terminology

* Proven commitment to Safety

* Work in an organized manner

* Able to work night shifts when needed

* Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site

* Ability to work independently and follow instructions

* Must be self-motivated and can work well with others

* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

* Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds

* Ability to squat, crawl

* Minimum age 18+
