Backroom Associate - Sam's Club

Responsibilities

Maintains and processes shipments for the Club in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and posting delivery schedules.
• Compiling and organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations, and paying expenses.
• Receiving merchandise for the facility, organizing and maintaining the receiving area, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing required documentation.
• Tracking and processing claims, returning damaged goods, handling liquidation merchandise, maintaining and cleaning the clearance area, and using technology to capture required reporting and documentation.
• Maintaining facility safety by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Complying with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards using open‑door policy and action plans.
• Completing work assignments and priorities, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, and recommending improvement opportunities.

• Forklift certification, or ability to obtain a forklift certification within 30 days of job entry date.
