Five pools, a full‑service salon and day spa, and nearby championship golf set the stage for memorable experiences framed by elegant Spanish Mission‑inspired architecture, fragrant gardens filled with desert flowers, and stunning views of Camelback and Mummy Mountain.

Overview

The Scottsdale Plaza Resort Salon and Day Spa is seeking a licensed massage therapist that is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about their industry. The right candidate will be dedicated to providing excellent customer care and hold themselves to high standards by delivering outstanding service each and every time. Commission starts at $30 with 30% automatic gratuities (based on guest discretion).

Responsibilities
  • Perform massages and bodywork therapies
  • Work as a cohesive team member
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral skills
  • Upsell and cross‑sell spa services
  • Greet clients appropriately
  • Utilize the Client Intake Form
  • Learn new massage modalities and body wrap treatments
  • Believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and body work
  • Maintain sanitation procedures for all tools and equipment after each client
  • Ensure the room is set up and broken down properly
  • Perform services within allotted time
  • Change room over after each client (e.g., sheets)
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions (including webinars)
Qualifications
  • Adhere to state, local, and county licensing laws and regulations and carry liability insurance
  • Knowledge of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Hot Stone modalities
  • Knowledge of various modalities preferred (neuromuscular, myofascial, trigger point, pre‑natal, craniosacral, and reiki)
  • Abide by Salon and Day Spa service standards
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and select holidays
  • Passionate about the massage and bodywork industry and continued education
  • Product knowledge and recommendations
  • Flexible and willing to work long hours when required
  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 pounds frequently or constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service‑oriented manner
  • Listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service‑oriented manner
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and nametag
