OverviewTo assist in implementing all strategies and activities to generate and maximize overall revenue, through direct sales that will impact positively on all operating departments of the hotel, thereby resulting in profitable return on the ownership's investment.
To assist the Director of Sales in support of the Sales operation and work closely with the Catering Sales, Conference Services Department and Reservation Sales Department to maximize revenues; maintain positive interdepartmental communications; contribute to the overall direction and operation of the hotel and to effectively control and minimize all marketing expenses while exceeding overall budgeted revenues and occupancy.
Responsibilities- Ensure full group revenue maximization of rooms potential.
- Work with all Group, National, and Catering Sales managers to sell room and meeting space inventory, banquet food & beverage and other ancillary revenue.
- Assist Associate Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing strategies/action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
- Assist Associate Director of Sales to stimulate productivity of all sales staff through guidance, development, and support.
- Active solicitation of key and target accounts to generate direct sales.
- Maintain Sales Team's focus on a Proactive Solicitation environment.
- Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
- Assist the Associate Director of Sales to ensure a challenging and exciting environment to encourage full career development and personal growth.
- Support and promote all corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Omni Hotels and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program.
- Coordinate the accurate turnover of contracts to the Convention Services Department and assist with any post-sales client interactions when needed.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Respond to client inquiries, leads, and RFPs with availability, rates, space, and dates in a timely manner as outlined by the property's LSOP.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual Group Production Goals
- Must have at least 3 years of group selling experience (convention hotel experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and researching skills to identify prospective customers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary.
- Experience in outbound solicitation, site inspections/visits with clients, and contract negotiations.
- Strong customer service and rapport building skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel as needed to represent the Hotel.
- Must have a flexible schedule to works nights, weekend and holidays as necessary. (Position qualifies for two remote dates weekly after 90 days)
