Systems Operations Engineer

Job Title

In this contingent resource assignment, you may consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering. You will contribute to large-scale planning related to Systems Operations Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Collaborate with client personnel in Systems Operations Engineering to meet deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

• Applicants must be able to work directly on W2.
• 4 years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience.
• Strong incident management background with the ability to problem-solve beyond runbooks.
• Evidence of an automation mindset (scripting, process improvement).
• Experience in incident management and change request handling, using tools like Service Now.
• Exposure to Windows, Linux, databases, SaaS solutions, and front-end apps.
• Must stay current with modern technology (no "single-track" specialists).

• Recent exposure to diverse tech environments (Windows/Linux Cloud Databases).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Elastic, and Prometheus.
• Experience in managing incidents, change requests, and on-call rotations.

• Handle incoming incidents (system-driven and user-reported).
• Follow existing TSGs/standard processes but also troubleshoot creatively.
• Handle ad-hoc requests (e.g., urgent security tasks, compliance exercises).
• Participate in an on-call rotation with an 18-member team, each on-call approximately 1 week at a time.
• Occasional weekend work (deployments, BCP exercises).
