Facilities Services Worker Custodial - Chaparral HS (28213)
Scottsdale Unified School District is hiring a Facilities Services Worker Custodial for Chaparral High School. This role is entry‑level and involves custodial, building or grounds maintenance, and general labor tasks.
Pay Grade: G
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor activities such as emptying trash cans, gathering materials, sweeping, setting up furniture, digging, cleaning, moving furnishings, painting, and other related tasks.
- Assist and respond to internal customer requests and emergency situations to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Maintain facilities, vehicles, and equipment; troubleshoot, perform simple repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance; monitor inventory of supplies.
- Notify appropriate individuals of necessary facility or equipment repairs.
- Under direction, perform routine, minor repairs.
- Assist with routine grounds maintenance activities including picking up trash, sweeping walkways, and weeding planter areas.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential duties.
Licensing Requirements: Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

- Communication and interpersonal skills applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
Physical Requirements: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Heavy work includes exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
