Electrical/Mining Superintendent
Loenbro is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mining Superintendent to lead electrical construction and maintenance activities across mining and heavy industrial projects. This position is responsible for overseeing field operations, supervising craft personnel, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mining operations, industrial electrical systems, and field leadership.

Key Responsibilities- Lead all electrical field operations for mining and heavy industrial projects.
- Supervise General Foremen, Foremen, and electrical craft personnel while promoting accountability and team development.
- Coordinate daily field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, including 3-week look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to support project execution.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects remain on budget and meet production goals.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and work packages to ensure accurate execution.
- Oversee procurement and delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and project specifications.
- Lead safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and field audits while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, company safety policies, and client requirements.
- Communicate regularly with clients, mine personnel, project management, and field leadership regarding project progress and challenges.
- Support project startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and closeout activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Reviews material requisitions and coordinates with the Purchasing Agent for material delivery.
Coordinates with the Administrative Assistant to track and report timesheets to Payroll.
Reviews daily reports and T&M tickets.
Assures open communication with mining customers.
Establishes and tracks job schedules.
Coordinates equipment for sites as needed.
Oversees Superintendents at mine sites.
Conducts job walks with Project Managers and Estimators to assist with estimates and define job scopes.
Coordinates with General Electrical Superintendents (Michael White and Troy Smith) regarding manpower and equipment needs.
Coordinates and assigns manpower for mining jobs.
Conducts interviews for mining job candidates.
Reports to Mason Farris.
Has current MSHA training.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of electrical construction experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
- 3+ years in a Superintendent or General Foreman leadership role.
- Experience leading multiple electrical crews of 50–150+ craft employees.
- Strong background in mining facilities, process plants, concentrators, crushers, conveyor systems, substations, or industrial electrical installations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience coordinating manpower, schedules, materials, and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in remote mining environments and varying weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of mining or industrial electrical experience.
- Experience with:
- Surface or underground mining operations
- Medium- and high-voltage electrical systems
- Power distribution
- Motor control centers (MCCs)
- Instrumentation and controls
- Conveyor and process equipment
- Commissioning and startup
- MSHA certification (preferred) or ability to obtain.
- OSHA 30 certification.
